Go to draw at imagemagick. Input the parameters to draw rectangle

+311+310 +110+110 with stroke width =6

At transform-

First flip and then flop .

Draw it again with the same parameters

+311+310 +110+110 

Result:

 

Take the images to composite and set the gravity to

South east -10-30 composite

For the second image change the gravity

+10-18 west, composite. 

Here is the final image

Remember many images in this blog are in jpeg format. You can change them into png/gif at 

imagemagick.

Soft and Glowing Effect

Imagemagick lets you manipulate your image in a variety of ways, for instance adding nice and soft glow.

Note: This tutorial can be used only on brighter background.

Take the following clipart.

Creating a transparent Background: 

Go to view tab.

At the paint properties,put 10000 in the  fuzz box and then

Method= Floodfill

Paint Type-Matte

Fill Color= none

Now place the cursor over the white background and right click on your mouse. CAUTION: Do not Place the Cursor over the Image itself.

Repeat this few times until you have a completely transparent background.  

 Save the image as gif or png format.

Next on Effect, type 59x59 in the slot, 

click on the spread button and then blur.

You should see something like this.

Glowing Background

Upload the image,  composite- over. Go to effect,input 0x.6, and click blur Composite the image using  multiply. Finally press Enhance and click normalize button. 

You can also use overlay instead of multiply. Choice is yours.

Save the file as png.

Let's be Creative

At the imagemagick studio, make a white (or color of your choice) background of size 

460x210.

Go to composite and put the url of this clipart in the slot 

Green Umbrella

Change the gravity to west and press composite.

Now go to transform at the top and click on the flip radio button. Press transform. The image will 

be on the left side. Go to composite again, leave everything as default, and press composite. 

Image should look this.

To draw line over and under the umbrellas, grab a pen and paper.

Point the cursor over the umbrella on right side from where you want to start your line. Right 

click on your mouse. You will see two numbers in the blue box. Note down them. Mine are 119, 

68. Repeat the same procedure with the left hand side umbrella. My numbers were 340 and 68.

Now follow the above steps at the  handles of the umbrella (lower part). Place the cursor over 

where your line to start (from right) and end (on left). My numbers were 84, 170 for the right side 

and 378 and 170 for the left side of the umbrella. 

Go to Draw and type in the number you found to draw the first line in the following manner

119+68 340+68. Select Line from Primitive. Type the color name you want I used gray in the fill 

color box with the stoke width 2. Notice the last number 68 is same for sides. Here is what your 

line should looks like

Now for the line at the bottom repeat the above procedure. I typed my numbers for the line as 

follows. 84+163 375+163. Again the last number 163 is same for both sides. 

 I left everything same and pressed draw . Here is the final image

If you want you can annotate in it now.

Creating Banner

Take the following clipart at imagemagick. Go to Resize and note down the size of the image.

You will see the in the slot the parameter 193x209  where 193 is width and 209 is the height. 

Now save the clipart for further use.

Go to imagemagic again.

Create a background of size 420x209 (420 is the width and 211 is height of the background)

Meta= white or any color you want.

Go to Composite and upload the clipart

Change the gravity to West and

Now go to annotate,

Type in anything want; say ‘welcome to my page’

Input  the colors of your choice . I used #B3EE3A as the fill  color and #6B8E23 as the stroke 

color. I  also chose the Art Brush font from the dropdown menu  and changed stroke width to 2 

and point size. 

The offset I used  +30+0 and Gravity East. You can modify all these parameters according 

to your wish. I then pressed annotate .

If you want you can leave it like that or go to decorate to frame or create border around the 

banner.

Here I used  5x5+3+3 in the decoration geometry and #458B00 as color and pressed border. 

Next I left everything as it is except the color. I used slightly darker color #6B8E23 to create 

border.

I repeated the procedure with #458B00.

Finally as a finishing touch, I changed the Decoration geometry 10x10+3+3 and pressed 

sunken.

Drawing Ellipses

Imagemagick can be used to draw various geometric shapes such as circles,rectangles.and 

polygons

Here I will show show you how to make ellipse.

Make background of size 350x205  (meta= white or none)

Go to Draw and paste the following parameters in the coordinate box

+230+205 +200+140 +0+360

[First number – moves the ellipse to right (increase) or left (decrease) ]

[Second number – shift the structure to up (decrease) or down (increase)]

[Thirds number- decides on the horizontal width]

[Fourth number – changes width vertically]

[The third set of numbers 0+360 should remain constant in order to draw a complete structure 

from 0 and to  360. Changing 0 will insert gap in the ellipse] 

Choose ellipse from the dropdown list.

Use any fill color and stroke color. I used orange.

The stroke width will decide the thickness of the structure. Here I used 9.

Now Press Draw.

If it is drawn on a transparent background, you can use glitter or any other tile to fill in the border 

of the  eclipse.  Here I used the following glitter tile. I uploaded the file to composite page and 

chose atop. I then  checked the tile across and down the image of canvas and press 

composite.

Glittery Ellipse

Making Background with Tiles

At studio of the imagemagic 

In the format slot choose granite and in the meta type any letter (this will be the file name).

You will create granite background of size 128x128.

Go to annotate. From the font list choose dingbat you like. In this example I chose three rowes of Davy other dingbats ‘ddd’. The default fill color is white, I used black. Then press annotate. Now go to decorate. In the decoration geometry slot, type in 5x5, click raise,and then decorate. Your tile ready. Save it for next step.
Your tile should look like this

Granite Tile

At imagemagick studio, in size slot input the 256x256 (2 x 128), and in the meta,type any color 

you want. 

Press view.

Go to composite and upload the tile you just have made. Check tile across and down the image 

canvas. You tile background is ready. Press output and save it as jpeg format.

At imagemagick studio, create a transparent background of 400x400

(Please refer to previous tutes if not sure)

Go to Draw

Input 40,40,540,540

Choose rectangle from the drop-down menu

Fill color none, stroke width=4

Press draw.

Go to Transform click flop

Go to draw and leave everything same and click draw.

On Transform click flip

Then repeat draw, transform-flop, and finally draw,

Your rectanglular frame is ready. Store the file as either gif or png formate. If jpeg then the 

background will be white.
